Hey all,
I'm a one-man-band sax guy and am always looking for new songs to add
to my songbook. I've found a number of good sites, but I'm hoping some
of you have others I've missed.
In case you're interested, I import the midi into Sonar, use the
virtual synth Edirol for the output so it sounds almost real, and then
export to an mp3 without the lead or solo parts.
I'm sequencing a lot of my own, but it takes so long to do it right.
I have all the songs from the Real Book 1, but I'm looking for more
modern stuff, even the so called "smooth jazz". People like it, I
don't mind playing it, and tips go up.
Thanks for any help!

P.S. Here's some of my favorite sites for great midi traks:
http://www.angelfire.com/jazz/devianjazz/midifiles.html
http://jawor.jazz.midi.fm.interia.pl/
http://www.geocities.com/smoothwavefm/Midi.html

How long have you been doing the one-man-band thing, and where are you
located?

A good midi search site is http://wwww.vanbasco.com.

BIAB is useful for setting up accompaniments, altho almost always need
tweaking afterwards.

Drop me a line, maybe we can trade some files.

Hi Musicman

I'd love to hear any one of your MP3s from the Real book, just to hear
how good it can sound and if it is in the same league as the Aebersold
playalongs. [I'm considering "invcesting" in some sequencing software
& MIDI sound-module hardware for doing the same kinda thing]

hope you can email me one...

Anybody else with some really good MP3-from-a-sequence playalongs -
feel free to send me a sample !
